Woosah ("Woosah," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Woosah mobile application and website located at woosah.app (collectively, the "Service"). We founded Woosah with a deep commitment to the privacy, safety, and dignity of every member of our community.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you hold over your own data. Read this document fully before using the Service.
By downloading, accessing, or using Woosah, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, discontinue use of the Service.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create a Woosah account or purchase a subscription, you provide:
• Full name - used to personalize your account experience
• Email address - used for account creation, login, subscription management, and communications
• Password - stored in encrypted form; Woosah staff never access your plain-text password
• Payment information - processed entirely by Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe; Woosah never stores your credit card number, billing address, or full payment details directly
• Profile preferences - content preferences and settings you select inside the app
• Family plan member information - email addresses of family members you invite to your plan, with their consent
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Woosah app, we automatically collect:
• Device information - device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Usage data - content categories you access, sessions you complete, features you use, time spent in the app
• App performance data - crash reports, error logs, and performance diagnostics used to improve the app
• IP address - collected by our servers when you access the Service
• Subscription status - your current plan type, billing cycle, and trial status
1.3 Information From Third-Party Services
Our third-party technology partners collect limited data to deliver the Service:
• Firebase (Google) - provides our database, authentication, and app performance infrastructure; collects device identifiers and usage analytics
• RevenueCat - manages subscription purchases and renewal status across Apple and Google platforms
• Klaviyo - manages our email communications; stores your email address and email engagement data
• Rewardful - manages our affiliate program; tracks referral links and commission-eligible subscription purchases
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store - processes all in-app subscription payments and reports subscription status to Woosah
• Stripe - processes web-based subscription payments for subscribers who purchase directly through woosah.app
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
Woosah uses your information for the following purposes:
2.1 To Deliver the Service
• Create and maintain your account
• Deliver the content you request inside the app
• Process and manage your subscription
• Enable family plan access for invited members
• Send you subscription receipts, renewal reminders, and account notifications
2.2 To Improve the Service
• Analyze which content our community engages with most
• Identify and fix technical issues, bugs, and performance problems
• Develop new content categories, features, and improvements based on how our community uses Woosah
2.3 To Communicate With You
• Send you onboarding emails when you create a new account
• Deliver monthly content update announcements
• Send promotional offers, wellness tips, and community news (you may opt out of marketing emails at any time)
• Respond to your support requests and questions
2.4 To Run Our Affiliate Program
• Track referral links connected to our affiliate partners
• Calculate and pay affiliate commissions on qualifying subscription purchases
2.5 To Comply With Legal Obligations
• Maintain records required by applicable law
• Respond to lawful requests from government authorities
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the rights and safety of our community
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
Woosah does not sell your personal information to any third party. Full stop.
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
3.1 With Our Technology Service Providers
We share data with the third-party providers named in Section 1.3 solely to operate the Service. Each provider receives only the data necessary to perform their specific function. We require all service providers to protect your data consistent with this Privacy Policy.
3.2 With Family Plan Members
When you create a Family Plan, we share your account status with the family members you invite. We share your name and subscription status - nothing else - with invited members.
3.3 With Our Affiliate Partners
We share limited purchase data with Rewardful to calculate affiliate commissions. This data includes subscription type purchased and whether a qualifying referral link drove the purchase. We share no personally identifying information beyond what Rewardful requires for commission calculation.
3.4 For Legal Compliance
We disclose your information when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal process, protect the rights and safety of Woosah or our community, or investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service.
3.5 In a Business Transfer
If Woosah merges with, acquires, or transfers substantially all assets to another entity, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and a prominent notice inside the app before your information transfers and before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. DATA RETENTION
Woosah retains your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as long as necessary to deliver the Service to you.
When you delete your account:
• We delete your personal information from our active systems within 30 days of your deletion request
• We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable usage data for analytics purposes
• We retain transaction records for 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations
• We retain data we are legally required to preserve for as long as that legal obligation requires
5. DATA SECURITY
Woosah takes the security of your personal information seriously.
We protect your data with:
• Encryption in transit - all data transmits between your device and our servers over HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Encryption at rest - your account data stores in encrypted form in Firebase
• Password hashing - we store passwords using industry-standard hashing algorithms; no Woosah employee ever sees your plain-text password
• Access controls - only authorized Woosah personnel with a legitimate need access personal data
• Third-party security standards - we require all service providers to maintain industry-standard security practices
No digital system carries a zero-risk guarantee. If a security breach occurs that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable law.
6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you hold the following rights over your personal data:
6.1 Right to Access
You may request a copy of the personal information Woosah holds about you at any time.
6.2 Right to Correction
You may update or correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings or by contacting us directly.
6.3 Right to Deletion
You may request deletion of your personal information. Submit deletion requests through your account settings or by emailing privacy@woosah.app. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
6.4 Right to Opt Out of Marketing Communications
Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also email privacy@woosah.app to opt out of all marketing communications. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your account or subscription.
6.5 California Residents - CCPA Rights
California residents hold additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
• The right to delete personal information we hold about you
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information (Woosah does not sell personal information)
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

6.6 European Residents - GDPR Rights
If you access Woosah from the European Economic Area, you hold additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
• Right of access to your personal data
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing
• Rights related to automated decision-making

Note to attorney: If Woosah does not actively market to or onboard European users at launch, you may narrow this section to U.S. rights only and add GDPR compliance language when the business expands internationally.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Woosah does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
The Service targets adults and does not direct content toward children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information immediately.
If you believe a child under 13 has created a Woosah account, contact us immediately at privacy@woosah.app and we will take prompt action.
Family Plan accounts allow parents or guardians to create sub-accounts for family members. Parents and guardians take responsibility for supervising any family member under 18 who accesses Woosah through a Family Plan.
This policy complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND CONTENT
Woosah may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, or external resources. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Woosah Service. Third-party websites and services operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you access through a link from Woosah.
9. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
Woosah may send you push notifications to your device for new content announcements, daily affirmation reminders, and account updates.
You control push notification permissions through your device settings. Turning off push notifications from Woosah does not affect your account or subscription - you retain full access to all content.
10. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
The Woosah website at woosah.app uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to:
• Keep you logged in between sessions
• Remember your preferences
• Analyze website traffic and usage patterns through analytics tools
You may configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies arrive. Some features of woosah.app may function with reduced capability if you disable cookies.
The Woosah mobile app uses Firebase Analytics and similar SDK-level tracking tools for app performance monitoring and usage analytics. These tools do not place browser cookies on your device.
11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
Woosah may update this Privacy Policy as our Service evolves or as applicable law requires. When we make material changes, we will:
• Post the updated policy at woosah.app/privacy with a new "Last Updated" date
• Send you an email notification at the address on your account
• Display a prominent notice inside the app
Your continued use of Woosah after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with the updated policy, you may delete your account at any time.
